Abstract

In the investigation 1500 eggs of Turquino breeders were incubated, of them 500 apt, and 1,000 classified as unfit for incubation, divided into 500 small and 500 large, according to the standards established by the CAN (1990). Biological controls were performed on days 6, 11, and 18 of the incubation period.
The first biological control performed at 6 days showed 8.7% of small unfertilized eggs, dead embryos have similar results until the sixth day with an accumulated of 4.3; 4.3 and 4.0% for the fit, small and large respectively.
The second biological control shows a higher% of eggs with open allantoids for large eggs and in this case the three types of eggs that are evaluated are above the normal parameters of 4%.
The results of the third biological control show an increase in dead embryos with respect to the second biological control in embryos from suitable eggs and a decrease in embryos from eggs considered unfit for incubation.
The% of hatchability obtained from small and large eggs behaved below the normal figure for the Turquino breed and the final weights obtained at birth although they differ significantly P <0.05 are likely to grow normally.
